This is the “about” page for “Snowshoe Unauthorized,” a website launched in February 2009 by Hawes Spencer, an avid skier and big fan of Snowshoe Resort in West Virginia. This site is designed to provide news and foster dialogue about Snowshoe. This site is a hobby for me. My day job for about a decade was editing an award-winning weekly newspaper in Charlottesville, Virginia.
